My Purpose

Few months back I was considered waste! But to creative minds decide to give a me a new life and transform me into a unique and one-of-a-kind object. From now on I have a new purpose. My mission is to help you say no to single use plastics like the disposable cutlery they give you in restaurants, fast foods, parties and every time you order food. You know they take up to 400 years to decompose? Wow! That’s a lot. Together we can contribute to protect our soils and to preserve the environment while creating memories together.  

Where you can take me?

• Let’s go out and eat together.
• I’m compact! so I can travel inside your school or college backpack.
• If you want a lunch time companion, I’m up for it.
• Adventures are my thing! How about a camping trip together?

Which are my proportions?

My proportions are approximately 9in x 8.75in. Remember that all of us are handmade with love and patience. You may find irregularities in our materials and dimensions but actually that’s part of our uniqueness. These are the traits that makes each of us one of a kind and unrepeatable just like you. 

Also, something important you most know is that I don’t come with the spoon, fork, knife and straw of the picture to incentivize you to use the cutlery you already have at home. I encourage you to measure them and make sure your they fit inside me.  

What makes me special?

• Proudly design and upcycled in Puerto Rico.

What am I made of?

I’m elaborated with textiles from around the world that end up in Puerto Rico.

Also, I’ve got a nickel D ring which you can use to attach me to your bag or backpack.

How to take care of me?

I’m expecting to grow old with you. If I get dirty, you can handwash me and let me dry outside. Maybe I get wrinkles but that’s ok, you can iron me at low temperature and they will go away. What happen if I get damage? Don’t worry! I can be fix or be repurposed. The intension is to reduce massive consumption and learn to value the objects you possess. This way I can be by your side for a longer period and every time we look at each other remind all the memories we’ve created on this journey together.
